IMPORTANT
INFORMATION:
STARTING FROM
11/01/2010, ALL REQUESTS FOR BRAZILIAN VISAS MUST BE DONE ON THE SITE:
https://scedv.serpro.gov.br/frscedv/index.jsp
With the new
Integrated Consular System, recently installed at the Embassy of Brazil in Jakarta,
visas to citizens wishing to travel to Brazil are now digitally
issued. It is highly recommended that the application forms to visas be now
filled, at the internet, before arriving at the Consulate. The Visa
Aplication Form, will direct the applicant to the SCEDV (Sistema de
Emissão e Controle de Documentos de Viagem). The Visa Request will
provide instructions on the filling of the Form and open the actual Form to
be filled. At the end of the procedure, the filled form should be
“Sent” and printed with the corresponding processing number.
Although the form may
be filled at the Consulate's premises, it is advised to do it beforehand -
with no hurry and no lines – at home or in any place with an internet
web connection.
As the new ICP-Brasil
channel is not yet automatically recognized by the browsers, the access to
the site “SCEDV” (Sistema de Emissão e Controle de
Documentos de Viagem) may be preceded by a warning on the safety and
reliability of the site. One should proceed and enter the site with
confidence on its safety and reliability.
Visa services are offered to Indonesian citizens or foreigner with
residence and working permit (KITAS/KIMS) in Indonesia.
Nationals of some countries do not require visa to travel on tourism
to Brazil. Please, check the list of exemption for tourist visa.
All visas are good for multiple entries unless otherwise stated. The applicant
has 90 (ninety) days from the date of visa issuance to enter Brazil. After
90 days the unused visa expires and must be reapplied for.
The application form is the same for all kinds of visas, but
requirements, supporting documents and consular fees vary according to type
of visas.
Visas may be applied for in person or through travel agencies or
other service agencies. There is an additional handling fee of USD.20.00
when visas are applied for through travel agencies or service agencies.
The kind of visa to be applied for depends on the purpose of the
applicants trip to Brazil. It is therefore very important that the purpose
of the visit is clearly and accurately stated by the applicant. To omit or
provide false information may result in denial of the visa. Transgression
of immigration regulations and laws are subject to heavy fines and
penalties applicable in Brazil.
IMPORTANT - The Embassy does not provide express or
priority services and does not process URGENT
applications. The Embassy requires 5 (five) working days to process visa
applications upon receiving the complete documentation. Incomplete
applications will be returned at the expense of the applicant. The Embassy
may at any time request further information or additional documents deemed
necessary. General conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
Please note that a visa is not an
applicants right and may be denied. It does not guarantee the right of
entry or stay in Brazil and can be cancelled at the discretion of the
Brazilian immigration authorities.
